Dr. James R. Judd

Dr. James R. Judd, a prominent Honolulu surgeon, helped coordinate the Red Cross medical corps in Hawaii. He served as a liaison between the military and civilian hospitals and ensured that medical personnel were properly trained for war conditions. Dr. Judd also contributed to organizing a potential medical reserve corps in case of a mass casualty event. His efforts laid the foundation for Hawaii’s emergency medical readiness during and after the war.
