Elizabeth Waterhouse

Elizabeth Waterhouse was one of the most dedicated Red Cross organizers in Hawaii. She managed much of the logistics behind first aid training and medical supply production, including the manufacture of gauze pads, dressings, and surgical kits. Waterhouse also worked closely with hospitals to ensure they were properly stocked and trained volunteers to assist with non-critical medical care. Her steady leadership helped establish a network of support that reached both the battlefield and Hawaii’s own medical facilities.
