Bishop Henry Bond Restarick

As the Episcopal Bishop of Honolulu during the war, Henry Bond Restarick provided spiritual leadership and direct support for the war relief effort. He helped organize prayer services for peace and victory, but also mobilized the Episcopal church community to contribute materially to the Red Cross and Liberty Loan campaigns. Restarick encouraged young men to enlist and supported war work through religious charities. His emphasis on service, sacrifice, and unity helped guide the Episcopal faithful through a time of national and local uncertainty.
