Wilhelmina Tenney volunteered for American Red Cross canteen service and served near the front lines in France. Alongside her friend Lois Brundred, she worked behind the trenches, distributing hot drinks and food to exhausted soldiers. Recognized by military officials for her dedication, Wilhelmina extended her service to the army of occupation in Germany.
