Margaret Cousens, Lili Berndt, and Reta Humphrey

These three women were among the group of young women who sold bonds at Moiliili Baseball Park on the opening day of the Victory Liberty Loan campaign in April 1919. Their public presence and persuasive work underscored the active participation of women not just behind the scenes, but in direct patriotic fundraising efforts.
