Jeanette Searight served as a clerical worker with the American Red Cross in Siberia. Part of the pioneering group from Hawaii that arrived in Vladivostok just before Thanksgiving 1918, Jeanette supported administrative operations crucial to the functioning of the Red Cross medical and relief missions. She later served as secretary to Dr. R. B. Teusler, director of the Department of Military Affairs, where her organizational skills helped coordinate hospital logistics across Siberia
