Edmund Johnson

Edmund Johnson contributed to morale efforts for British troops by organizing the purchase and shipment of tobacco. In October 1917, he sent enough funds to provide tobacco for 364 British soldiers. His work reflects the broad scope of civilian-led support from Hawaii that extended to Allied troops beyond American forces
