Christine Kemp

Christine Kemp was one of six nurses in the second Hawaii Red Cross unit that sailed aboard the Venezuela for Siberia. She was temporarily assigned to the Russian Island Hospital, contributing to the care of Czech troops during their prolonged withdrawal from the Western Front. Her service demonstrates Hawaii’s contribution to international postwar recovery efforts beyond Western Europe
