Chestain Johnston

Chestain Johnston also served in the Russian Island Hospital after arriving in Vladivostok as part of the second Hawaii Red Cross unit in November 1918. Alongside fellow nurses, she provided essential medical care for a multinational population of patients, including Allied soldiers, prisoners of war, and refugees caught in the chaos of postwar Siberia.
