As the founding chair of the Hawaiian Allied War Relief Auxiliary, Beatrice Castle organized women’s relief work across Oahu and beyond. Her leadership transformed early volunteer efforts into a structured force that produced over 129,000 garments and medical supplies for the Allies. Her successor praised her vision, which set the foundation for one of Hawaii’s most effective women-led wartime organizations.
