Anna Albrecht

Anna Albrecht of Maui served as a nurse in the U.S. Navy Hospital Service during World War I and was deployed to France. Her service placed her among the first women from Hawaii to take an active military medical role abroad, representing both her island and the wider territory in caring for wounded American soldiers in Europe
