Pu‘u o Kapolei (Fort Barrette)

Once a significant military installation, Fort Barrette played a role during World War II as part of Oahu’s coastal defenses. Its unique location atop Pu‘u o Kapolei offers strategic views of the island’s leeward coast, underscoring its importance in protecting Pearl Harbor. Today, remnants of this military fortification remain as a tribute to its wartime significance.
