Piʻilanihale Heiau

This massive ancient temple in Kahanu Garden near Hana is one of the largest heiau (temples) in Polynesia. Built over centuries starting in the late 13th century, it served as a place of worship and community gathering. The heiau is a striking testament to the engineering and spiritual life of pre-contact Hawaiians.
